Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Production Operations based out of our San Diego (Rancho Carmel/Spectrum Technology Center locations).

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for all manufacturing efforts of project execution, cost and schedule with development hardware through transition to production and sustainment

  • Establishment and maintenance of control account budgets, schedules, scope and technical performance measurement

  • Manage to a line of balance, oversee and/or guide root cause and corrective actions to closure

  • Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports

  • Responsible for interfacing technical leadership, program management, engineering, production control, global supply chain, and production supervisors to ensure hardware modules are built within cost and budget while meeting operation build schedules

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering or business; Master’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering or business

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications to include advanced skills using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Strong Excel skills to include utilization of Pivot Tables

  • Experience with MRP Knowledge: gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale

  • Experience Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and Solumina Systems

  • A current / active DoD Secret Clearance is required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)

  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with EVMS processes, baseline forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and Control Account Management (CAM) experience

  • Experience reading engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools

  • Experience with presentation skills to senior leadership

  • Experience with Process Improvement skills/abilities

  • Experience using SharePoint and Tableau systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
