Northrop Grumman has an immediate employment opportunity available for a Sr. Principal Engineering Product Trainer located in Elkridge, MD.
What You’ll Get To Do:
We are seeking a self-starting, motivated Sr. Principal Engineering Product Trainer to join our dedicated Elkridge, MD team site. The successful candidate will fulfill customer training requirements for electronic systems, sensors, and radars.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site classroom and hands-on training for customer operators and maintainers
Develop/update training curriculum in accordance with Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and military training standards
Develop Trainee and Training Course Completion Data
Become proficient with system operation and maintenance tasks
Travel as required to support and/or conduct training tasks
Interface effectively with program and customer personnel to accomplish training tasks
Support other program tasks when not performing training tasks
Provide subject-matter expert (SME) assistance and support to determine current and future training needs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 8 years of experience developing technical training curricula and conducting technical training classes.
5 years’ experience with maintenance and/or operation of electronic systems, sensors, and radars
Successful completion of military curriculum developer courses or formal military school instructor course
3 years’ experience in Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training
3 years’ experience as an instructor of military electronic system maintainers and/or operators
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Able and willing to perform physically demanding hands-on training tasks in extreme environmental conditions
Able and willing to travel, CONUS and OCONUS, in support of training tasks up to 10% if needed
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Secret Clearance is not required to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in a STEM field
Experience as an electronic systems, sensors, or radar crew chief or maintenance chief, or as an operator team leader
Experience conducting training on the following Radars: AN/TPS-75, AN/TPS-78, AN/TPS-703, AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR
US military training development and instructor experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
