We are actively seeking a Senior Practice Management Strategist to join our Marketing Strategy Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in building from the ground up, operates with independence, and takes ownership of outcomes, while working closely with key partners across the business.

In this role, you will lead the strategy, development, and promotion of practice management initiatives that equip financial professionals with additional tools and insights to grow their businesses. You will identify market opportunities, shape scalable solutions, and bring external expertise into the organization to drive business growth.

This is a new role within a Marketing Strategy team of 22 in the Consumer Markets division. You will partner closely with Advanced Design and Retirement Strategy teams, along with marketing strategists and relationship marketers across Life and Annuities. This role requires strong judgment, accountability, and the ability to move work forward with limited direction. You will be expected to be in the office four days a week.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Partner closely with Advanced Design and Retirement Strategy teams to identify opportunities and translate them into actionable initiatives.
  • Act as the bridge between marketing strategy and execution, ensuring ideas are practical, scalable, and aligned to wholesaler and financial professional needs.
  • Identify audience needs through research and field insights, and turn them into resources for the wholesaling team.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and industry trends to uncover differentiated opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to identify, evaluate, and engage external partners, including agencies, consultants, and industry experts, aligned to specific initiatives.
  • Support partner selection and onboarding processes, including research, evaluation, and recommendations, while working in coordination with teams that own existing relationships.
  • Contribute to project execution involving external partners, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, serving as a day-to-day contact for specific initiatives.
  • Build business cases, define scope, and develop statements of work for external engagements.
  • Develop clear strategy documents, creative briefs, and integrated plans that drive execution and adoption.
  • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions to move initiatives forward.
  • Track performance and continuously refine approach based on results and feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, consulting, practice management, or financial services marketing.
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategic roadmaps from concept through delivery.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to turn insights into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Experience working with and managing external partners or vendors.
  • Ability to develop business cases and define scope for complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, usable solutions.

What makes you stand out:

  • Background working with financial professionals or within life insurance, annuities, or wealth management.
  • Proven ability to develop practice management or sales enablement strategies.
  • Familiarity with engaging industry experts or thought leaders.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing white-labeled solutions.
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional designation preferred.
