You will have experience working with HR systems, confidential employee data, and strong project management skills. Ideally, the people business partner will have experience being a global People (HR) Business Partner in a high growth, fast-paced environment. The role will provide a broad exposure to the different facets of the People Business Partner function and offers the opportunity to take on challenges while accelerating your learning. For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $180,000 and $195,500 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. 

  

About the role 

Roku is in growth mode, and we are investing in building a world-class people organization. As part of that effort, we are looking to hire a Sr. People Business Partner to serve as a strategic people advisor for Roku’s Media teams. This role will partner with leaders, front line managers, and employees seeking guidance on a diverse range of topics. The successful candidate will deliver a full spectrum of people (HR) deliverables that align with the businesses' strategic goals. This role will provide sound guidance across all functional areas of Human Resources with an emphasis on performance management, change management, and organizational development. 

  

What you'll be doing 

  • Collaborate with Finance leadership team – specifically within Accounting, FP&A, and Core Analytics organization - to understand their talent needs and develop effective people strategies to support business goals 
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, statutory obligations and regulations 
  • Partner with the talent acquisition team to attract, onboard, and retain top talent, including participating in interviews and selection processes when necessary 
  • Advise and coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution, promoting a culture of continuous feedback and development 
  • Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and organizational culture enhancement 
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, address issues proactively, and drive informed decision-making 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance on career development, professional growth, and work-life balance 
  • Support organizational change management initiatives, including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and process improvements 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the HR function 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to the organization 

  

We're excited if you have 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications or related field; master's degree preferred 
  • 7-10+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in media industry with a focus on business partnership and strategic HR initiatives 
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Our Hybrid Work Approach

Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment where teams work in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays are flexible for remote work except for employees whose roles are required to be in the office five days a week or employees who are in offices with a five day in office policy.
