About the Role:  

We are looking for a qualified individual to serve as our Corporate Paralegal. The paralegal will be responsible for supporting our commercial contracting process and working with corporate attorneys on a variety of legal-related activities in the U.S. The paralegal will interact with several attorneys and staff within Legal and business partners outside of Legal. The ideal candidate for this position is energized by the opportunity to improve the company’s end-to-end contracting process leveraging technology, has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Provide support to the corporate attorneys in the Legal Department.
  • Assist in the day-to-day drafting and processing of a significant number of contracts, ensuring that contracts are handled and executed in a timely and compliant manner
  • Manage compliance with internal litigation holds
  • Aid in the maintenance and increased utilization of contract templates to streamline processes
  • Develop, improve and implement processes around contracting and contract compliance; be an engine of moving to best practice
  • Collaborate with legal and business teams to implement and monitor processes for contract performance tracking and compliance
  • Master software platforms and other tools used in the legal function (contracting, matter management, e-billing etc.) and work closely with IT and other departments to ensure successful implementation and integration of legal technology solutions
  • Complete administrative duties such as file management, calendar management, dispute tracking, legal invoicing and tracking, litigation analysis and reporting to identify trends
  • Assist with maintaining the company’s IP portfolio, act as liaison for outside counsel and the branding team on trademark filings and related matters
  • Assist with preparing training decks on contracting and other legal topics
  • Engage closely with contract owners and internal stakeholders to ensure all requirements and needs are satisfactorily addressed
  • Managing internal contract review requests and contract management system and assigning legal review to contracts attorneys.
  • Be open to other duties as assigned related to special team projects.

    
What You’ll Bring:

  • 5 to 7 years working experience as a paralegal or contract manager supporting an in-house legal team  
  • Experience in contract management systems
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
  • Highly organized, flexible and detail-oriented, comfortable handling a high volume and variety of tasks in a high-growth, dynamic environment – proactive follow-through a must
  • Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets/databases
  • Experience creating contract templates and managing contract databases.
  • Experience with CLM implementation, project management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and develop new skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Power Point, Sharepoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro
