Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the engineering molding area, this includes all needs of internal products and molding supplier tooling management. Manages feasibility studies of new mold designs, mold maintenance and production parts. Support all the documentation needed for process validations and mold maintenance. Organizes the coordination of activities regarding molding transfers projects and sustaining projects.
What will you be doing?
- Support the Manufacturing Process and perform real time root cause failure analysis. If the problem is design related, drive the solution with R&D. Use a systematic problem-solving method (PDCA, DMAIC) to drive continuous improvement in the product line. (15%)
- Perform molding process development by Scientific Molding techniques (15%)
- Identify process deficiencies, conduct Business Case Analysis on possible corrective actions and provide a prioritized list of recommendations to ensure the right priorities are being set and resources are being used effectively. (10%)
- Develop and lea Technical Reviews on change process, material or tooling to ensure changes meant to address a specific problem do not produce additional unnecessary adverse effects or other type of problems (10 %)
- Conduct and complete equipment, fixtures and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) as needed to ensure proper qualification and to ensure that the fixtures, tooling and machines accomplish desired outcome. Tools preventive maintenance (15%)
- Write MPIs, BOMs, MCOs, NCs, Deviations, Routers and release documentation into the quality system. Own CAPA investigations and issues related to the products. (15%)
- Resolve problems with raw materials as needed. Work with IQA and drive vendor technical solutions to resolve material issues. Update part drawings and part specification as needed to clarify information being communicated to vendors to prevent future raw material issues. (10%)
- Work with counterpart process engineers in US to support DOE and lab notebook studies as for new product development. (10%)
What will you need to be successful?
Education:
Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial, Electronic, Electromechanical).
License/certification: Experience with ISO 9001:1994, Lean Six Sigma preferred, RGJ or equivalent certification preferred

Experience: 5 years of relevant molding engineering experience required.
