Strategic HR partner supporting Avionics Engineering leadership across geographically dispersed teams, enabling alignment between business objectives and people-focused initiatives while advancing key HR priorities. 

This role will be worked onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, or Melbourne, FL. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Coaching & influence - Provide coaching, mentorship & facilitation to cultivate high-performing teams, capable of navigating challenges & change.   Ability to influence & guide decision making within the function. 

  • Data storytelling - Use data, business insights and storytelling to communicate with leaders in a meaningful way. Apply strategic thinking and data driven problem solving. 

  • Effective communication - Ability to effectively and clearly convey information, ideas, and emotions, both verbally and nonverbally, and to actively listen and understand others. Communication approach is thoughtfully modified based on audience and objective. 

  • Organizational culture influence - Understand & execute on organizational culture: what it is, why it happens, and how to shape it in service of enabling business ambitions and/or educate, reinforce and continuously improve organizational culture. 

  • Employee experience & engagement - Activate and embed employee experience practices that enable leaders to build effective organizations aligned to business strategy. Offer guidance, support, recognition, and foster a positive work environment that enhances job satisfaction, productivity and overall organizational success. 

  • Project management - Ability to effectively plan and manage short-term projects from initiation to completion. Ensuring that a quality product is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.  Provide timely updates to stakeholders and maintain open communication regarding progress. Leverage REPM framework and CORE tools to enable effective project planning. 

  • Problem solving- Enable business success by making moderate improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area. Identify people solutions to address business needs and enable high-performing teams. Solutions generally address short-to-medium-range operational plans (e.g., less than one to two years). 

  • Ability to travel 10-15% 

What You Will Learn: 

  • How to coach, advise and drive people focused initiatives supporting 7 Engineering executives in the Avionics business  

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 7 years of experience 

  • Experience supporting multiple executive level leaders  

  • Experience supporting multi location facilities

  • Ability to effectively and clearly convey information, ideas, and emotions, both verbally and nonverbally, and to actively listen and understand others. Individuals can prepare and present materials for both executive and non executive audiences that are clear, engaging, and impactful. 

  • Drive initiatives to shape and embed organizational culture, influence behavior,and reinforce values to support business ambitions. 

  • Experience as a strategic HR business partner in a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment. 

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders to elevate their impact. 

  • Proven track record of driving HR priorities that align with business strategy. 

  • Experience in a complex, matrixed organization.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
