This position is the leadership role directing operations support for Key Bank’s operations balance and control functions.  Functional areas of responsibility include balancing Key Bank client accounting applications to the corporate general ledger as well as certifying and reporting on their condition and accuracy.  These functions are performed for various Lines of Business including; Retail Banking, Consumer and Commercial Lending, Global Treasury Management, Card Services, Mortgage Services, Key Education Resources, Wealth Segment, Victory Capital Management, and KeyBank Capital Markets.
Essential Job Functions
• Certify and approve the integrity and validity of reconciliations
• Reporting and escalation to corporate finance and senior leaders relating to reportable exceptions
• Review and approve regulatory reporting, including escalation of issues/fluctuations to SEC and regulatory reporting
• Ensure adequate coverage through cross-training plans
• Ensure all departmental procedures are updated in a timely manner
• Lead resolution, escalation and reporting for complex critical incidents or production issues
• Complete walk through with the Audit team and LOBs, ensuring that follow up is completed on any known issues and document any action plans related to audit findings
• Ensure all testing is completed in a timely manner, while confirming all risks, issues and defects are addressed
• Subject matter expert in multiple portfolios ( within Corporate, Community, KT&O,, etc )
• Understand risks in order to design  and implement additional controls to be tested within GRC Responsible for accepting, owning, proactively identifying, monitoring, and managing operational risk
• Responsible for sign off on accounting principles/mapping for reconciliations and settlements
• Analyze and escalate LOB and stale reporting / scorecarding and analytics to ensure achievement of productivity, quality and SLA goals
• Responsible for all initiatives and project risks, issues and budget
• Responsible for the monitoring and controlling of employee access
• Leading and Developing a culture of continuous improvement
• Coordinate and Complete annual certification of Corporate Continuity and Recovery Plans for department
• Responsible for understanding accounting policies related to product of responsibility, and to ensure that the policies are adhered to and properly implemented
• Responsible for hiring diverse, accounting professionals, build and lead a high performing team, including mentoring, coaching and developing analysts; Able to support cross site teams including offshore
• Responsible for being a trusted advisor for Internal and External clients including any vendor relationships and ensuring goals of the department, client and corporation are met
• Responsible for development, forecasting, and on-going monitoring of multi-million dollar budget

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification/ Certified Public Account (CPA) or equivalent preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
