Project Based Medical Manager – Cell Therapy Korea
Specific Responsibilities and skills for Position
- This is a Medical Affairs position whose role is to build and maintain scientific relationships with target HCPs. Field communication strategy building and strong execution with various channels is required.
- This is a project-based position with a global pharmaceutical company, with the potential for long-term transition based on performance.
- Responsible therapeutic area (TA) will be HEMATOLOGICAL CANCER.
- Work with local Medical TA counterpart to develop brand medical plan by transferring field insights to brand medical strategies and tactics.
Collaborate with local TA Medical counterpart and Country Medical Director to develop and drive robust field communication plan.
- Provide current, accurate and balanced scientific education to HCPs and facilitate data discussions in HEMATOLOGCAL CANCER.
- Provide scientific presentations to individual physicians or groups of physicians, e.g. scientific seminars.
- Ability to utilize scientific resources to deliver impactful presentation in a variety of settings.
- Analyze and interpret key data and publication and ability to transform these into clear scientific messages.
- Develop and implement HCP engagement plan. This position should have ability to identify new rising stars (HCP) in HEMATOLOGICAL CANCER. Plan HCP visit and utilize CRM database to record HCP interactions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver key scientific messages clearly and handle scientific queries from HCPs on-site or afterwards.
- Works closely with local Medical counterpart to develop programs and activities including coordination and execution of programs e.g., medical advisory board meetings, scientific education programs, congress symposia, and patient centricity activities
- Able to discuss ideas for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) and Collaborative studies. Regular communication with investigators regarding the progress of ISR, Collaborative studies, and publications
- Provides scientific training to internal colleagues on demand basis.
- Attendance to internal medical trainings, HCP appointments, and scientific conferences on a regular basis, occasionally with short notice and on weekends
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- 70-80% of field interaction, insights collection and scientific communication with HCPs
- Frequently and regularly provides feedback and insights from the field to internal stakeholders
- Scientific communication and presentation to HCPs on a frequent and professional manner
- Engage in peer to peer scientific exchange of complex clinical and scientific information
- Provide support for content development and delivery of clinical presentations at Advisory Boards, as requested
- Must be fully cognizant of all relevant scientific data.
- Active participation in internal medical trainings
- Helps coordinate medical affairs activities and initiatives at local/regional/global level
- Must be committed to continuing education to maintain knowledge base
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- MD/PhD/Pharmacist preferred
- ≥2 years of pharma industry or clinical experience is preferred
- Industry experience is essential, ideally including recent experience of a successful launch within oncology or hematology
- Have a working understanding of hospital and community practice hematology/oncology departments and systems
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment
- Strong communication skill, analytical skills, demonstrated ability to transform key findings from study data and publications into scientific communication strategy planning
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Korean is essential.
- Must be committed to continuing education to maintain abreast of all relevant scientific data
