The Opportunity
The role of Senior Material Handler is to provide employees and customers with timely, accurate and safe shipping & receiving services.
What You'll Work On
Ships products and materials to customers.
Interfaces with freight carriers and resolves shipment problems.
Prepares Shippers Letter of Instructions (SLI's), Commercial Invoices and Pack Slips for use by Freight Forwarders for International shipments.
Receives and processes incoming material in the ERP system.
Performs cycle counting, inventory transfers and product transfers between multiple Abbott sites.
Processes material released from Quarantine, working closely with QC/QA to ensure proper handling, segregation and control of materials internally and throughout the supply chain.
Responsible for receiving and shipping of finished goods, raw materials and all shipping and receiving for employees.
Minimum Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years Materials handling experience in a related manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Domestic and International shipping regulations and documentation, logistic transportation methods, material handling equipment, computer-based shipping and inventory systems and ISO guidelines. Skills in hazardous material handling and shipping.
The ability to operate a lift truck, negotiate freight costs and terms, communicate with all levels of personnel, work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The base pay for this position is
$18.30 – $36.60/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
