The Marketing Operations Senior Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the Marketing Operations function. As a senior-level role, this position is instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of operational tasks while driving efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence across a diverse range of initiatives. 

This role encompasses the management of critical operational functions, including invoice processing, vendor setup, and the coordination of both traditional and digital marketing projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process invoices and facilitate vendor setup activities as required 
  • Proactively identify and resolve gaps in processes, inefficiencies, and reporting to reduce errors before they occur 
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while processing transactions 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice or vendor-related discrepancies 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and implement process improvements 
  • Assist in onboarding and training stakeholders on proper invoice submission and vendor setup protocols 
  • Define and support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and resources by assisting senior-level team members (Program Managers,) ensuring that all phases of the project lifecycle are managed efficiently, contributing to the overall success of initiatives​ 
  • Foster an environment that values diverse perspectives while aligning team members towards common goals.  
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met effectively 
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain on track and achieve success 
  • Leverage project management tools to track progress, collect metrics, and deliver insightful reports on project status to stakeholders at various levels. Tailor these reports to meet the specific needs of senior leaders effectively.  
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented mindset by seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, taking ownership of actions, and strive to exceed expectations 
  • Manage all aspects of project engagements, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope 
  • Support the communication and socialization of marketing initiatives 
  • Facilitate correspondence and information sharing with the broader Cencora organization as needed 
  • Methodically analyze and evaluate business challenges by defining problems, identifying alternatives, and making timely, informed decisions 
  • Perform as-needed assistance in fulfilling vendor relations management and reporting activities​

Work experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in project management or a business-related role, preferably within a marketing environment and/or enterprise organization
  • Familiarity with invoice processing and vendor management systems, and finance coordination
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and digital platforms is a plus Demonstrates mastery level of project management fundamentals, principles and methodologies  
  • Strong understanding of digital experience, marketing principles and strategies 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required no specific area or equivalent business experience 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • The ability to work independently (self-direction) in a complex, matrixed environment thriving requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency with project management tools and software (Smartsheet, Adobe Workfront, Microsoft 365 Product Suite) 
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team representing different disciplines, skills, backgrounds, and specialties  
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to healthcare solutions 
  • Ability to focus detailed concentrated effort on multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. 
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and uses judgment and discretion in escalating issues to leadership
  • Collaborative, positive attitude, open-minded and the ability to influence team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
