Job Summary

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Sharp Safety is responsible for the Sharps business portfolio P&L for the US Region. You will lead the analysis, with the support of direct and indirect reports, leveraging insights to build a plan to achieve the budgeted growth objectives for the Sharp Safety business. Marketing tactics include pricing strategy, promotion in target channels, and empowering Sales to achieve business unit objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop up to 2 direct reports.
  • Manage US Regional revenue and profitability for assigned product lines or product portfolios.
  • Develop and execute channel-specific marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics in coordination with Marketing Communications as part of an integrated promotional plan.
  • Support Channel Marketing leadership in executing initiatives to grow Cardinal Health branded product penetration.
  • Serve as the product expert, collaborating with clinical and sales teams to communicate value, articulate features and benefits, and support pricing decisions aligned with established strategies.
  • Partner with Enterprise Contracting, Sales, and Product Management to develop strategies for GPO/RPC contract pursuit and maximize contract value.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence, including product offerings, pricing strategies, customer pain points, and evolving clinical practices through field engagement.
  • Recommend new product introductions, line extensions, or rationalization strategies based on regional growth objectives and channel dynamics.
  • Develop communication strategies to share field insights with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Lead in-channel launch planning and execution, including promotional campaigns and growth initiatives for newly launched products.
  • Create sales enablement tools and train field representatives to effectively position and sell the product portfolio.
  • Monitor market trends impacting sales, distribution, and the profitability of Cardinal Health products.
  • Support the development and validation of stakeholder analyses, competitive assessments, positioning frameworks, and messaging platforms.
  • Influence and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across product management, sales, DMG, customer service, strategic pricing, enterprise marketing, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, and regional/channel teams.
  • Translates market and customer insights into clear goals, strategies, and tactics that drive sales and profitability. Secures cross-functional alignment from key stakeholders.
  • Stays current on market trends and assesses product/service lifecycle implications to recommend strategies that ensure competitiveness and long-term success.
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of marketing strategy, including channel selection, business planning, and competitive positioning.
  • Applies strong financial acumen and decision-making skills, particularly in pricing strategies, deal structures, and financial impact assessments.
  • Collaborates effectively across multiple functions, including IT, communications, operations, and sales


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills required

  • Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and is comfortable making both monetary and strategic decisions

  • Ability to analyze, organize and integrate large amounts of complex, disparate information into clear concise presentations and plans

  • Entrepreneurial personality with a bias for action and works well under pressure

  • Strong financial acumen, prior P&L ownership, preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Location: This position can be remote and based anywhere within the United States. Ideal candidates will be near the Dublin, OH, office. Candidates must be able to work within the EST or CST business hours.

Anticipated salary range: $105,100 - $150,000
