Location/Division Specific Information:
Located in Austin, TX, this position entails assisting the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) with relevant experience in GSD or a similar field.

How Will You Make an Impact?:
Our Sr Manufacturing Technician team members are responsible for ensuring high-quality production in our downstream filling and packaging departments. This includes filling, capping, labeling, and assembling both sub-assemblies and finished goods. You will be vital in maintaining our world-class standards and helping us compete on a global scale. Many tasks will be performed in a clean manufacturing environment, adhering strictly to safety protocols with personal protective equipment (PPE).

A Day in the Life:

  • Complete manufacturing tasks with precision and consistency
  • Fill, cap, and label vials, bottles, and tubes following established procedures for flawless products
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure daily production goals are met
  • Work in standard and clean room environments, adhering to PPE requirements
  • Safely operate both manual and automated filling equipment
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements on time and align with all ISO and regulatory standards
  • Interact with internal personnel to ensure smooth operations and customer happiness
  • Recognize and address deviations from accepted practices
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential to prevent non-conforming products
  • Maintain strong attendance and punctuality
  • Participate in one-on-one training until proficient
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Performing audits of peers work to ensure quality standards are being met in production areas
  • Review batch binders to ensure GDP quality standards are being met
  • Oversee on the job training activities
  • Escalation support for peers during the production day



Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or formulation
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience in a life sciences manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proven ability to follow policies, procedures, and schedules independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Operate semi-automated and manual filling equipment
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment



Physical Requirements / Work Environment
1. Ability to lift/move objects: 10lbs regularly, 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally

2. Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
