Meet the team:

The Sr Manager Vendor Management is responsible for leading global electronics supplier management across strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers. This role ensures continuity of supply, reduces vendor risk, improves vendor performance, maximize value and decreases costs. The position requires strong leadership, strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, knowledge and experience in electronics manufacturing and electronics components supply chain management within a global context.

Where you come in:

  • You will develop and execute global electronics supplier management strategy that is aligned with business objectives.
  • You own supplier relationship and performance management, including supplier improvement and development programs.
  • You identify and mitigate risks related to supplier relationship, supplier manufacturing processes, capacity, supplies, technology obsolescence, geopolitical factors, and etc.
  • You ensure compliance of category strategies and contract terms and conditions
  • You collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on supplier capabilities with design requirements and production schedules; resolve escalations.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams in driving cost-reduction initiatives and VAVE projects specific to electronics components and assemblies.
  • You drive continuous improvement with suppliers by implementing lean processes and fostering innovation
  • You ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions and major design changes; oversee compliance with validation and regulatory requirements.
  • You provide concise, data-driven updates to senior leadership on supplier performance, risks and mitigations, and strategic opportunities.
  • Team leadership and development: you lead and mentor supplier management professionals, provide direction, support and opportunities for growth and development

What makes you successful:

  • Your 8+ years of experience in supplier management, sourcing/procurement or supply chain managing within the medical device or highly regulated industry
  • Your 5+ years of successful leadership experience
  • Your proven ability to lead global supplier initiatives, collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive solutions in challenging situations
  • Your ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • You have strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with executive presence.
  • Preferred you are experienced in global electronics supplier management
  • Preferred you have the expertise in electronics component life cycle management and electronics manufacturing processes
  • It is a plus if you speak Mandiran Chinese or Cantonese
