Sr. Manager, Testing Services
Huntsman is seeking a Sr. Manager, Testing Services supporting the Corporate Division located in HATC, The Woodlands, TX. This position will report to the VP R&D/Woodlands Operations.
Job Scope
This position is responsible for the oversight and management of the HATC Testing Services group, directing all efforts to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient operations of all HATC Testing Services activities. This group resides within the HATC Shared Services function and provides a wide range of Analytical and Physical/Mechanical testing services for all divisional technology groups located at HATC, as well as for select other groups at other Huntsman locations. The position provides leadership to drive continuous improvements that ensures the group is able to meet all current and future challenges.
In summary, as the Sr. Manager, Testing Services, you will:
Ensure safe, effective, and efficient operation of HATC Analytical and Physical/Mechanical Testing Laboratories
Manage complex work demands and competing priorities to ensure all needs are met for business units served
Establish and maintain relationships with divisional technology group leaders to ensure current needs are met and to identify future requirements
Lead efforts to identify and implement improvements to testing laboratory services, equipment, and procedures
Ensure systems are in place to generate laboratory data to the highest possible quality standards
Develop, track, and control departmental expense and capital budgets for Testing Services activities
Maintain and communicate key metrics for HATC Testing Services activities
Assist other employees in the accomplishment of Huntsman company goals
Participate in and complete company-required training programs
Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Material Science
10+ years of related experience
Experience in chemical technology laboratory and personnel management
Skills and Knowledge
Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment
Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is required
Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Chemistry or Material Science
10+ years of specific experience
Experience in chemical technology laboratory and personnel management, including Testing
Experience with LABWORKS is highly desirable
Experience developing and managing department budgets is highly desirable
Knowledge of laboratory quality management systems is desirable
