JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is the end-to-end supply chain leader of an MSO manufacturing site, responsible for purchasing, inventory management and production planning. This medical manufacturing site leader will ensure uninterrupted material flow through the facility aligned with service targets, inventory targets and financial goals. The site leader will also have a strong understanding of ERP systems and the ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages end-to-end supply chain for the MSO manufacturing site. Including purchasing, production planning and inventory management ensuring the uninterrupted flow of product from raw materials through production.
- Manage and develop a production planning and purchasing team to support the growing infrastructure of the MSO.
- Partner with finance and operations on production floor plan resulting in the maximization of machine utilization and absorption while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Owns ERP system design for production planning, supply planning, floor management and inventory controls. Serve as a subject matter expert for site data.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly manufacturing metrics that represent oversite of the production planning process. Take action to address shifts in performance.
- Drive cost savings projects to support our annual profit targets and encourage supplier resourcing of upcoming initiatives and projects.
- Work with suppliers to determine supply chain inventory levels and flexibility models to accommodate demand and supply normal variation.
- Evaluate our current approaches and propose improvements.
- Manage teams responsible for purchasing product to achieve customer satisfaction and inventory levels aligned with company goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
- Ensure availability of products in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at acceptable levels.
- Review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory levels.
- Manage team activities of forecast accuracy, excess inventory management and supplier relationships to maximize profitability.
- Partner in development strategies of the purchasing team to increase knowledge and productivity.
- Work with Marketing and Merchandising to understand future strategies/new sales plans, promotions, supplier agreements, new product introductions and excess inventory opportunities.
- Monitor activity of the function to ensure work is being performed and goals are being achieved.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of Inventory Management / Supply Planning & Production Planning processes and procedures.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, class 1 & class 2.
- Deep understanding of ERP systems.
- Supplier management and purchasing experience in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 certification and maintenance.
- Inventory Management system knowledge, such as E3 Trim.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced excel skills or data analytics skills required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
