The Role
The Senior Manager - Supply Chain Planning for GTI will be responsible for developing & driving key supply chain planning strategy & initiatives, supporting demand & supply planning in critical, high volume markets, growing enterprise capabilities & best practices to support GTI short & long-term growth and serve as a cross-functional lead for supply chain.
You will bring depth of working with a high volume of skus, fast-paced, high growth environment, numerous production locations, thrive in a start-up, gritty environment and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive in.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute integrated supply chain strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, including demand forecasting, supply planning, and capacity alignment
- Collaborate with cultivation and manufacturing teams to align production schedules with demand plans
- Translate business forecasts into actionable demand & production plans
- Own allocation and supply planning across Flower, Vape, and Edibles/MIP, driving cross-functional planning processes to optimize service levels and overall business performance
- Leverage/Build AI-driven planning tools to optimize demand forecasting, inventory positioning, and supply allocation across the network
Inventory & Materials Management
- Own inventory performance across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods with a focus on working capital efficiency
- Design and implement strategies to increase inventory velocity while maintaining target service levels and minimizing stockouts
- Establish forward-looking inventory targets based on demand variability, production cadence, and shelf-life constraints
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to proactively rebalance inventory across sites and channels to prevent aging and excess
- Reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory through improved forecasting, production alignment, and lifecycle management
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop supply chain direct report (s), fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams
- Drive alignment between commercial demand and operational execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related degree
- 8+ years experience related to supply chain, production planning, and/or demand & supply planning
- Experience in cannabis industry strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and cannabis tracking systems (METRC or BioTrack)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
