The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven QA Senior Manager to lead and expand our Quality Assurance team in Athens. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, aligning QA efforts with company strategy, and serving as the primary liaison between the Athens team and headquarters in Sunnyvale.
Your day-to-day
Team Leadership & Growth
Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing QA team based in Athens
Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Mentor QA engineers and support their professional development
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day QA operations, ensuring efficient test planning and execution
Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases
Stakeholder Communication
Provide weekly status reports to HQ in Sunnyvale, including progress, risks, and key metrics
Act as the primary point of contact for on-site QA engineers, addressing concerns and enabling success
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams
Strategic Alignment
Ensure QA activities and deliverables are aligned with company roadmap and top management priorities
Identify risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies
Contribute to release planning and quality strategy at a global level
What you bring to the team
8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
Proven experience building and scaling QA teams
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks
Experience working in a distributed/global environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones
Detail oriented organizational and reporting skills
Preferred Skills
Experience working with HQ or stakeholders in the US
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Background in both manual and automated testing strategies
Ability to balance hands-on involvement with strategic leadership
