ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager (SPM), Privacy to spearhead our Privacy product and engineering functions to build products and sustainable, compliant solutions for AI-powered future. This pivotal role involves monitoring and interpreting the global privacy landscape, with a focus on consent and preference management for Pfizer’s data, Adtech and Martech platforms. SPM will partner with product, legal, engineering and data stakeholders to define roadmaps, and operationalize standards (e.g., IAB TCF/ GPP) to support global scale marketing, advertising and commercial activations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage privacy operations and engineering programs across data and marketing platforms, leveraging in-depth knowledge of domestic and international data protection laws and translating them into product and engineering requirements.
Act as the primary contact for privacy issues, offering expert guidance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Guide creation of user consents and preference experiences and set data collection norms, including consent signal interoperability across the stack so products and services align with privacy standards and business goals.
Convert privacy policies into practical, actionable technical requirements
Collaborate with product managers and privacy experts to foster agreement on innovative solutions for privacy-centric design issues.
Communicate privacy decisions across teams and enable product teams to build compliance-focused, customer-friendly features—providing practical implementation guidance and validation through launch.
Enable product teams to develop new, compliance-focused products and services by providing guidance on incorporating regulatory requirements in a customer-friendly manner, while ensuring full compliance.
Continuously monitor the global privacy landscape, identifying compliance gaps or risks, and facilitating necessary changes to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with Global Privacy standards.
Partner with Commercial AI stakeholders to implement data governance processes for data collection and use (e.g., purpose specification, retention, access controls, and auditability), especially covering AI/ML use cases and workflows when applicable.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments.
You possess expertise in privacy-enhancing technologies and adhere to privacy-by-design principles.
Your expertise as a subject matter expert is evident in guiding products and businesses through various privacy-related aspects, including data collection, storage, access, use, and deletion.
You have a distinguished history of resolving multifaceted issues, balancing technical, business, regulatory, and organizational factors.
Your communication skills are well-organized and effective, catering to a diverse audience including technical teams, executive leadership, and cross-disciplinary groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing security or privacy compliance related engineering programs.
IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) is preferred.
AI governance expertise (AIGP) is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience implementing consent and preference management in adtech/ martech stacks or experience managing advertising privacy with major providers such as Google and Meta, and self-regulatory engagements such as IAB, NAI, and DAA.
Deep knowledge of privacy regulations and requirements, including operationalization of GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA, and others.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
