Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Production Control team in El Segundo, CA. This critical role will be managing a team responsible for the alignment of material availability, production schedule, and contractual requirements in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The successful candidate must have effective communication skills, MRP/MES troubleshooting know-how, an understanding of MRP in a manufacturing environment, aptitude for innovative solutions, and proven leadership skills. The ability to interface with all levels of management from both functional and program will be essential in this job. In this role, the ownership and use of metrics will be key to maintaining system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations.

What You Will Do

Set strategic vision, direction and plan to execute on short to medium term program and functional strategies and initiatives.

Drive alignment to the financial plan and take direct ownership and responsibility for actions and execution to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services.

Lead and support front end of the business start-up activities, including developing basis of estimates for production control activities and labor estimates.

Responsible for maintaining and driving accurate MRP schedules requiring cross-functional collaboration.

Evaluate program and functional strategy and provide tactical and operational solutions.

Monitor and proactively act to improve key performance indexes.

Responsible for evaluating, coaching, and developing opportunities for team members.

Foster collaboration, learning, and sharing knowledge amongst all team members.

Organize, coordinate and/or lead training, internal projects, or process improvement initiatives and influence cross-functional decisions.

Ensure materials compliance through the adherence to company rules, policies, guidelines, and audits applicable to the site.

This will be an onsite role on our El Segundo, CA site.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and 7 years’ experience

Experience in aerospace and defense

Experience managing a team

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in developing and delivering effective presentations to Senior and Executive Leaders

Experience in Planning and Production Control fundamentals such as MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Production Scheduling, and Manufacturing ideally in a government contractor environment

Experience in Data Science and Analytics

Experience with Rapid Response Kinaxis, Pelico

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
