A role in Planning and Inventory Management Operations means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You’ll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you’ll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

Headline of Job:

As a Sr. Manager PIM Ops - Solutions (Frequency, Projects) you’ll use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals for a number of strategic programs throughout Planning and Inventory Management.  In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Senior Analysts and engaging with CFT partners across PIM and the broader Commercial and GSCL.  Your team will train and coach Inventory Management teams on key tasks, help solve problems, troubleshoot issues that arise, and develop ways to improve IM processes to ensure our teams meet their key business initiatives.

You will partner closely with leaders of Training and Process within the Process and Solutions team, as well as prioritize efforts of your Senior Solutions Analyst team across multiple PIM Ops partners including but not limited to Seasonal, Promo, Flow Centers, Product, Strategy, etc., to ensure that your team can effectively balance the needs of Planning, Inventory Management, and the broader Commercial and Merchandising teams.  

Finally, you will coordinate domestic supply chain strategy and problem solving in partnership with transportation, global partners, core roundtable teams, and multiple PIM partners to maximize our ability to meet guest demand while maintaining an efficient and fluid supply chain. 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • You will quickly identify issues and recommend solutions to support a diverse and complex set of businesses.
  • You and your team will influence Planning and Inventory Management teams through support & training process expectations for replenishment action steps.
  • You and your team will partner with Process and Training teams to develop, train and reinforce process expectations for weekly and seasonal replenishment.
  • You will partner with other PIM Ops team members to provide input and support and reinforce process expectations to achieve WIP and inventory goals.
  • As part of this work, you will ensure reliability metrics meet or exceed goals through process guidance and routines with the Inventory Management teams.
  • You will partner with numerous Commercial and GSCL teams, such as Network Planning, Field Partners, Stores, and S&OP to support the movement of inventory through the network and proactively address network constraints through inventory management levers.
  • Your team will serve as primary PIM Ops contact for your respective divisions’ IM teams and be a conduit across PIM Ops
  • You will partner with our Inventory Management Training Program Managers to educate new Inventory Analysts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Inventory Management or key support function of GSCL initiatives
  • Direct experience with Inventory Management systems or leading inventory management teams
  • Ability to break down complex problems despite incomplete or ambiguous information, identify root cause of the issue, and develop sustainable solutions in collaboration with SMEs
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to translate data into insights and coach/mentor talent to leverage data to solve problems.
  • Flexibility, resilient and comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across team, leader, and internal partners
