Job Description

The Head of Business Operations is responsible for designing, building, and scaling the subsidiary’s national physical and digital infrastructure, encompassing supply chain, customer support, regulatory aspects, customer engagement, and all related operational activities. As a key member of the team, you will define operational strategy & excellence, implement processes, and build high-performing teams to support the subsidiary’s growth.

This role ensures excellence in safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will optimize end-to-end processes, introduce scalable solutions, and align diverse operational functions with business objectives, playing a critical role in establishing Thermo Fisher Scientific as a leading direct presence in the Israeli market.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced degree with 8+ years’ experience in life sciences, healthcare, or medtech, including leadership or operations roles in Israel
  • Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, aligned with global corporate frameworks
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end operations, including supply chain, customer support, quality/regulatory, and IT, with familiarity with local Israeli requirements
  • Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, KPIs, and organizational change, including setting up or scaling local activities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable working with global HQ, local partners, and customers
  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset, with a pragmatic, data-driven approach
  • Experience with budgets, capex, ERP systems, audits, and project management is an advantage.
  • 20–25% travel may be required
