Sr. Manager, NBA Strategy

What is the opportunity?

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Next Best Action Strategy role. In this role you will report to the Director, Next Best Action, Strategy and will play a role in supporting both the long-term roadmap and immediate term deliverables to bring RBC’s hyper personalization vision to life.  This role will require strong team building coupled with an ability to collaborate exceptionally effectively with RBC enterprise partners to ensure strong alignment amongst cross-platform objectives.  This individual will be responsible for tactically supporting the overall NBA strategy, and building out the next set of deliverables to drive the overall strategy with the NBA Strategy team

What will you do?

  • Partner within NBA and with functional partners to articulate and deliver the roadmap and NBA’s hyper personalization ambition
  • Contribute to socializing the strategic purpose of NBA across LOBs in order to support NBA’s vision and strategy
  • Structure topics into a clear and effective communication to help leadership to make decisions and trade-offs, prioritizing efforts towards delivering highest value for RBC and clients
  • Support for the NBA Transformational program by working closely with Scrum Master, Project Managers and Value Office to manage Pod Health Assessments, and aggregating results for NBA SMT.
  • Build strong relationships across the enterprise (e.g. within NBA, LOB’s, Digital, Borealis, Marketing, Risk, Operations, etc.) to bring together expertise required to advance strategies
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through streamlining, simplification, elimination of redundancies/overlaps, improved capacity utilization, automation, standardization, etc.; partner with Scrum Masters to deploy changes
  • Partner with Risk partners to identify risks attributed NBA as part of RBC risk assessment processes (e.g. RTA’s) ; communicate risks across NBA SMT to ensure senior socialization
  • Along with NBA PM, manage NBA Integrated Roadmap and communicate progress and/or risks to key deliverables and timeline progress

What do you need to success?

Must Have:

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret and analytical skillset to synthesize large sets of data in clear articulation of what matters most
  • Demonstrated strategic, innovative thinker who has high comfort with ambiguity and is proactive to determine next step in identifying opportunities and driving work forward
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts quickly with exceptional partnership, impact and influence across multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment, maintaining focus and a high level of attention to detail. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including experience in creating presentations NBA leadership
  • Experience with agile and/or waterfall ways of working in order to support initiative/projects end-to-end, specifically supporting Personal and/or Commercial Banking.
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in strategy and consulting related areas

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services, digital marketing, or large-scale client engagement programs
