Senior Manager, Market Access Greece & Cyprus

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Market Access will lead strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize patient access and reimbursement for Gilead’s portfolio. This role combines advanced analytical capabilities with leadership in cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and compliance standards. The position requires strong expertise in pricing & reimbursement strategies, and stakeholder engagement to influence policy and formulary decisions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement market access strategies, including pricing & reimbursement, and strategic initiatives including commercial plans, brand PoA and competitive assessment. Lead pre-launch and launch initiatives to secure optimal formulary placement and patient access.

·       Preparation & general overview of HTA submissions and payer value propositions.

·       Support in creating payer specific promotion materials to educate payers on population disease state and formularies for new products

·       Preparation and support of negotiation strategies

·       Follow-up external changes in pharma policy and legislation

·       Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with payers, policy makers, and Key Opinion Leaders to influence prescribing protocols and access policies. Represent Gilead at professional events and advocate for company products.

·       Support Government Affairs with data generation, policy briefs and impact assessment when applicable

·       Further build out knowledge of global health systems and regulatory processes and communicate them to senior management of the company

·       Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct complex analyses of market trends, payer behaviors, and healthcare reform impacts. Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decisions.

·       Project & Vendor Management: Manage multiple high-level projects, including advisory boards, RWE generation support, and vendor relationships. Oversee budget planning and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA/MA) preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on market access, managed entry agreements, and pricing strategy.

Skills & Competencies Requirements

  • Proven expertise in market access processes and payer engagement strategies.

  • Strong Negotiation skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation.

  • Strong analytical and business insight skills; ability to interpret complex data and recommend solutions.

  • Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent project management and strong leadership skills.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Fluency in English both in oral and written communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

 

Desirable Attributes

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Health Economics / Life Sciences or similar background are preferred.

  • Proven track record of scientific work, such as authorship, poster presentation etc
