Position Summary:

Establishes operational/production objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinate leaders. Reviews and sets policy objectives to determine success of production operations. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operations that may also have company-wide effect.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drives safety and continuous improvement, culture across all machining operations.
  • Utilizes operations metrics in safety, quality, production efficiency to drive tactical and strategic actions to meet customer needs and business goals.
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams including safety, quality, engineering, maintenance, and program management to meet delivery targets for internal and external customers.
  • Identifies and develops talent to improve team skillset in both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Nurtures the culture of employee appreciation, recognition, and respect.
  • Partners with engineering and program management to launch new products and technologies in the machine shop.
  • Delivers production plan utilizing resources and equipment in the safest, efficient and cost-effective capacity.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with interaction to senior management
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge and utilization of best standard practices
  • Advanced computer / software skills in multiple manufacturing specialties
  • Proven and demonstrated continuous improvement mindset utilizing advanced manufacturing practices, including Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled at recruitment, retention, and development of hourly and salaried employees.
  • Experienced utilizing KPIs to run manufacturing operations.

Position Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, engineering and 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly management.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • May lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
