Job Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy and Planning:
- Work with IT leadership to develop a comprehensive IT portfolio strategy aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and approve IT projects and programs
- Ensure portfolio alignment with company goals, risk management, and compliance requirements
Portfolio & Financial Management:
- Manage demands for the portfolio initiatives and manage them throughout their lifecycle
- Manage and monitor IT budgets (CapEx and OpEx), analyze financial performance
- Manage CARs; facilitate IRR (Internal Rate of Return) discussions; obtain necessary approvals
- Manage Purchase Orders and Statements of Work for vendors, Ensure timely payments to third parties
- Manage financials for internal KraftHeinz employees
- Manage financial forecasts and actuals
- Balance resource allocation based on available budgets, ensuring sufficient capacity to meet project needs.
- Mitigate risks on time at project and portfolio levels to prevent/minimize overspend or underspend
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Project Teams, PPM/Finance Team, Procurement Team and Supplier Teams to stay on track for all portfolio related tasks/activities
Governance and Performance Reporting:
- Ensure IT portfolio management practices comply with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, processes, and procedures to support portfolio management
- Track project health and portfolio progress using key metrics, and provide regular reports to stakeholders on performance, financials, and risks
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and manage a team of IT managers; provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
- Foster a high-performing team culture, promoting collaboration, open communication, and transparency.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills, training, and resources to succeed.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide visibility into the portfolio and drive informed decision-making
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of proven experience in IT project management, portfolio management, or a similar role.
- Exceptional ability to analyze data, identify issues, trends, and use metrics to support strategic decision-making
- Strong understanding of various technologies and technology products
- Expertise in IT portfolio management tools and software, such as those used for project planning and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall etc.) and governance frameworks.
- Strong leadership and management skills to influence and guide project teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for collaborating with diverse teams and leadership.
- Professional certifications like Agile Certification, PMP (Project Management Professional) or PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) can be beneficial.
