Raytheon has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Internal Control to join the Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations (“FRCC”) team supporting the compliance program for Raytheon’s internal controls over financial reporting (“ICFR”) and related projects. The role includes project management activities, stakeholder coordination, and application of RTX policies and procedures.

The Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations team supports the Business Controller organization through quarterly financial reporting deliverables, assessment of transactions under US GAAP and Company Policy, internal controls compliance activities, finance projects, implementation of accounting standards, and accounting guidance and training activities. The position may also include cross-training and support in these areas.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the Raytheon Internal Control (“IC”) team, including completion of testing of internal controls and other quarterly or annual deliverables.
  • Support and manage project planning and central review for document or support requests from internal or external sources.
  • Manage activities related to implementation of changes impacting the Raytheon IC team.
  • Monitor and track closure of open control findings.
  • Review control assessments in accordance with RTX policy.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and team discussions regarding Raytheon control considerations and related decisions.
  • Participate in or lead projects or initiatives related to processes, systems, templates, and tools supporting financial reporting and internal financial controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for RTX controls teams.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience reviewing or evaluating SOX controls.
  • Experience applying financial accounting and reporting concepts.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Experience with business processes including cost flows, revenue accounting, inventory management, and GL/close activities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing projects, schedules, or deliverables.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, or status updates for stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
