The Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy – Adult Consumer Vaccines is responsible for leading consumer media strategy across Pfizer’s adult vaccine portfolio, including branded and unbranded initiatives. This role provides strategic leadership and day-to-day partnership to brand teams—translating business objectives into integrated, insight-driven media strategies that drive reach, consideration, and conversion while protecting brand equity.
WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
This is a secondment/backfill role with expectations to run the business while optimizing in-flight plans and building future cycles. The role develops holistic consumer media strategies across channels (digital, CTV, retail media, search, social, and emerging platforms), guides agency planning and activation through clear briefs and governance, and owns weekly operating cadence (e.g., weekly meetings, performance tracking, and coordination of brand deliverables). The Senior Manager will lead retail media platform strategy, synthesize data from multiple sources into clear insights, advance measurement best practices (test-and-learn, MMM/MTA where applicable, incrementality), and ensure media approaches align with internal review processes and regulatory requirements typical of a highly regulated category.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Lead integrated consumer media strategy across Pfizer’s adult vaccines portfolio, translating brand and portfolio objectives into cohesive, audience-first channel strategies.
Run the business through governance and operating cadence, owning weekly meetings, timelines, and stakeholder alignment to ensure consistent execution and delivery against brand priorities.
Direct agency planning and activation (CTV, digital video, paid social, retail media, search, programmatic, and emerging) by setting strategy, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring executional excellence.
Lead retail media strategy and platform partnerships, including network selection, audience strategy, retailer-specific measurement, and coordination of media inputs into broader brand plans.
Drive measurement, optimization, and learning by synthesizing data from multiple sources, delivering performance readouts, and translating insights into in-flight optimizations and future planning recommendations.
Steward significant media investment by partnering on budget allocation, pacing, and scenario planning; ensure resources are deployed against business priorities and performance signals.
Ensure compliance in a regulated category by partnering with Legal/Regulatory/Medical review processes and adhering to required guidelines for consumer advertising.
Contribute to brand deliverables and planning cycles by providing media inputs for key milestones (launches, creative strategy, budget planning, and cross-functional deliverables) and communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6+ years of experience.
5+ years of experience in integrated media strategy, media planning, or performance marketing (in-house, agency, or both); experience in healthcare/pharma or other regulated categories strongly preferred.
Experience managing complex, multi-channel media strategies and agency partners, including briefing, planning, launch governance, and optimization.
Demonstrated track record translating data and insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
Master's degree with at least 5+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience.
Deep expertise across consumer media channels (digital, CTV, social, search, retail media) and ability to select channels based on audience behavior and business need.
Strong retail media platform acumen: understands retailer-specific targeting, measurement, and optimization levers.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to synthesize insights into clear, actionable media recommendations and briefs.
Comfort working with measurement and analytics approaches (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality, MMM/MTA where applicable) and translating performance data into optimizations and executive-ready readouts.
Experience navigating cross-functional review and approval processes (e.g., legal, regulatory, medical) typical of a regulated category.
Strong partnership and influence skills across brand teams, agencies, and platform/retail partners; ability to drive alignment without direct authority.
Excellent communication skills, including leading weekly forums and delivering clear next steps, risks, and decisions.

Secondment 10-12 months
