This role provides end-to-end management for technology capabilities that enable embecta’s Manufacturing and Quality organizations. The position is accountable for supporting and managing how technology supports operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term business scalability, while ensuring day-to-day reliability of critical systems. Working closely with functional stakeholders and users, the role translates business strategy into actionable technology direction, balances near-term operational needs with future readiness, and ensures solutions are delivered through disciplined governance, strong partnerships, and effective team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Leads execution of new technology with Manufacturing and Quality to achieve business objectives by prioritizing initiatives, coordinating the deployment, and management of systems across the organization
Drives the implementation of enterprise systems and applications for Manufacturing Operations and Quality in support of embecta operations to foster innovation that creates competitive advantage, enhances the customer experience, improves service quality, supports business development, improves cost effectiveness, and leads to greater productivity and efficiency.
Ensures compliance with IT general controls for Manufacturing and Quality & deliver audit artifacts.
Partners with embecta’s Manufacturing and Quality organizations; engages embecta stakeholders and users to enable the goals and objectives of the organization.
Demonstrates ability to manage a portfolio of projects, balance multiple competing priorities, and deliver results with minimal supervision
Incorporates business, regional, and functional strategies into the goals and objectives of the technologies to be developed and deployed.
Maintains knowledge on emerging trends and drives appropriate decisions for various technologies.
Management of Quality and Manufacturing solutions within and outside of SAP such as eQMS systems and stand along applications integrating with SAP.
Accountable for process improvements, design & implementation for multiple regions i.e. North America, EMEA, LATAM, ASIA & Greater China.
Hands-on functional / technical knowledge to support Production Planning, Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, and Manufacturing Operations.
Application strategy, architecture, and monitoring
Business analysis for solution design, IT Validation documentation, SOX Compliance & Training Support, SAP S/4 version upgrades, patches, and integration of new bolt-On’s and non-SAP applications.
Solution design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, enhancement, and support
Business process / value optimization
Experience & Education
MBA preferred, but BA/BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Computer Science/Information System (for Manufacturing) or related discipline required
Minimum 5+ years of verifiable technical and functional experience in SAP and Non-SAP Manufacturing and Quality processes.
Must have experience out of medical device/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Must-have 1 full lifecycle verifiable experience as a lead during SAP implementation in a medical device / life sciences or manufacturing industry
Experience working with a variety of third-party technical & process organizations to achieve business goals
Experience leading project teams and partnering with third parties to drive and deliver services.
Able to connect business strategies with technical roadmaps
Excellent presentation and communication skills to communicate complex business challenges in a non-technical and simplified manner to embecta senior management
Strong knowledge of business processes I.e., record to report, plan to forecast, quote to cash, source to pay, plan to deliver etc.
Ability to perform fit/gap analysis and write functional specs for RICEFW objects
Understanding of SDLC, Validation processes and implementation methodologies
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
Able to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technical initiatives
Able to evaluate current system and technology during separation and recommend modifications and/or new solutions to better meet objectives
Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $170,000-185,000 (subject to variation depending on physical location).
Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations.
Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards package at embecta, which also includes eligibility for an annual bonus and an annual LTI award.
