The Sr. Manager of FP&A will advise and support attorneys and Global Operations (GO!) Leadership through facilitation of the firm’s essential business planning process and providing ongoing decision support through financial analysis. The Sr. Manager of FP&A will work closely with other members of the FP&A team, broader Finance and Finance Engineering functions to identify, manage and provide thought leadership on best practices to support the continued progression of both the business and the finance support model. This individual will be a critical part of an impactful finance team driving operational improvements with consistent exposure to the firms CFO and COO.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the enterprise budgeting and forecasting processes, liaising with the firm’s leadership to develop and track against revenue and expenditure targets

  • Leverage data and analytical tools to proactively identify and provide insight on opportunities and areas of risk/concern for leadership and where appropriate, recommended actions

  • Evaluate, enhance and/or architect operational processes for scale, simplicity and reliability

  • Assist the Director of FP&A with model development to gain deeper insights with the goal of providing actionable information to all stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain financial models and analysis for the firm’s leadership to easily digest the business’ financial performance and operational metrics relative to industry benchmarks

  • Act as a Finance business partner to Business Unit and Office leaders

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of firm-wide strategic initiatives

  • Keep a pulse on finance industry trends and practices to ensure that we remain current and competitive with our peers

  • Contribute into a dynamic environment that empowers and rewards those who take the initiative to develop a commercial acumen and learn the business model


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a finance or business management discipline

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications, nice to have.

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ work experience in an FP&A role, preferably with some exposure to legal or professional services.  

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ people management experience

  • Experience with managing complex projects with multiple work streams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to effectively manage, train and develop our financial analysts to align on strategic vision and execute on tactical objectives

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate clear and actionable insights from complex analyses

  • Very strong communication / presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create clear and impactful models in Excel and presentations in PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated strength in navigating Tableau as a data querying and analysis tool

  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting fundamentals and processes

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00
