The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Process and Systems Transformation (PST) Team:

RTX has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Digital Technology (DT) Business Analyst – Ariba and Business Network (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) position.


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Technology (DT) Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on the SAP Ariba and Business Network suite for supply chain operations. The successful candidate will lead efforts to harmonize and streamline business processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across Digital Technology (DT) and RTX business units. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, SAP Ariba solutions, and the ability to drive transformational initiatives that enhance efficiency and alignment.

What You Will Do:

Business Process Harmonization:

  • Lead efforts to harmonize supply chain business processes across RTX’s business units, utilizing best practices and SAP Ariba capabilities.
  • Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for standardization and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements for process improvements.

Ariba and Business Network Expertise:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Ariba and the Business Network suite, providing guidance and support to business and technical teams.
  • Configure and manage Ariba modules (e.g., sourcing, procurement, supplier management) to meet business needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Ariba solutions with other enterprise systems and tools.

Collaboration Across Teams:

  • Work closely with DT teams, supply chain stakeholders, and other business units to align strategies, priorities, and objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather input, share progress, and drive consensus.
  • Ensure effective communication between technical teams and business users to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Interact with the end customer on technical issues which require subject matter expert support.  Drive issues to closure. 
  • Work with other Digital Technology teams and software vendors to define service and application roadmaps. 
  • Use technical and communication skills with business knowledge to own the successful resolution of business problems. 

Project Leadership and Execution:

  • Lead or support project initiatives related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of Ariba solutions.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to milestones and budgets.
  • Monitor and report on progress, addressing risks and challenges proactively.
  • Support definition and implementation of enterprise level synergy projects targeting common applications and processes across the organization.
  • Support migrations between applications/systems. 
  • Provide analysis and estimates for upcoming tasks. 

Data and Reporting:

  • Support data analysis, reporting, and insights generation using Ariba and other supply chain tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in supply chain processes and systems.

Training and Change Management:

  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for business users to ensure effective adoption of Ariba solutions.
  • Support change management initiatives to drive user engagement and satisfaction with new processes and tools.

Travel up to 20-30%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in the Ariba and Business Networks arena and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • Experience as a business analyst or similar role, with a focus on supply chain processes and systems.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba modules and the Business Network suite.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement, and supplier collaboration processes.
  • Experience leading business process harmonization or transformation initiatives.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in aerospace and defense or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and their integration with Ariba.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Experience with change management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30%

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
