Role Description: Senior Manager Data Analytics — Corporate Compliance

Position Summary

The Compliance Data Analyst supports the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) & Trade Controls function in designing, enhancing, and maintaining data-driven controls and monitoring mechanisms for effective corporate compliance programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the company leverages data, technology, and analytics to identify risk, detect misconduct, and maintain strong oversight over IT systems used in the compliance programs.

The analyst partners with business operations to collect, integrate, analyze, and operationalize data needed for proactive compliance risk management and evidence-based program improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance Data Infrastructure & Systems

  • Develop and maintain datasets, dashboards, and monitoring tools for “effective and timely access to relevant data” in compliance programs.
  • Partner with IT and business functions to ensure compliance has reliable data feeds
  • Support the integration of compliance-relevant data from multiple business systems
  • Help establish data governance standards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and availability of compliance data.

2. Risk Assessment & Monitoring Analytics

  • Build and maintain dashboards that visualize key compliance metrics (third-party risk, red flags)
  • Provide insights to strengthen continuous monitoring, including red-flag indicators aligned with DOJ & OFAC expectations for ongoing testing of program effectiveness.

3. Investigations Support

  • Provide data extraction, pattern analysis, and trend reporting to support investigations, issue escalation and root cause analysis.
  • Identify systemic control failures and recurring issues based on case data trends.

5. Reporting & Communications

  • Assist in preparing data-driven evidence for reviews, audits, or regulatory inquiries
  • Develop clear and concise reporting for governance & audit committees
  • Prepare periodic compliance performance reports that demonstrate how data insights inform program improvements.
  • Communicate complex data findings in an accessible format to non-technical stakeholders.

6. Program Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual compliance monitoring activities, reducing operational burden and improving consistency.
  • Support the implementation of machine learning or anomaly detection capabilities within the compliance program.
  • Recommend enhancements to compliance tools, workflows, and systems based on data trends.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Engineering Compliance, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in compliance, internal audit, legal operations, IT governance, or risk management.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel) and data analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to develop reports and visualizations to make complex data easy to understand for non-technical users.
  • Understanding of compliance concepts such as internal controls, risk assessment, investigations, access governance, and policies.
  • Ability to translate technical data insights into actionable compliance recommendations.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ERP systems, Data Lakes, audit analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience extracting and preprocessing large data sets to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Experience in using machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, natural language processing, computer vision, etc.
  • Exposure to DOJ guidance on Effective Compliance Programs & OFCA Program Requirements
