Role Overview:
The Senior Manager of Learning - Americas is responsible for driving and executing strategic, scalable learning solutions that aligns closely with both regional and global upskilling priorities. This role ensures strong operating unit (OU) alignment, governance, and the execution of measurable learning programs while adapting to the needs of diverse markets. A critical part of this role is leading and guiding the cross-functional distribution of resources including Subject Matter Experts, design resources, delivery/logistics, and ensure that leadership is aware of progress and next steps whilst keeping sponsors and leadership informed. The Senior Manager of Commercial Learning – Americas acts as a trusted consultant, strategic operator, and integrator of world‑class learning experiences across the sales ecosystem.
On a typical day you will:
Consult with sales and business leaders to identify performance gaps and determine which challenges can be addressed through capability building, skill development, or targeted learning interventions.
Execute against the current portfolio of learning priorities, which may include digital learning pathways, virtual instructor‑led sessions, live in‑person learning experiences, as well as coaching and on-the-job support.
Partner with vendors and cross‑functional internal teams (e.g., HR, Product, Marketing, Sales Operations. Change, L&D) to design, build, and deploy world‑class sales learning solutions.
Govern learning priorities and drives decisions across OUs, ensuring alignment to global standards while adapting approaches for regional context and business needs.
Track and report program performance to senior leaders, including learner engagement, adoption metrics, and indicators of business impact.
Support ongoing updates and enhancements to learning content based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business priorities.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
Deep consultative skills, with the ability to diagnose performance issues, validate root causes, and recommend learning‑based solutions.
Deep understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and/or modern learning methodologies including Digital and eLearning, Microlearning, simulations, On‑the‑job tools and performance support, Live and Virtual instructor‑led training.
Ability to partner with SMEs to translate raw or technical content into meaningful, scalable learning experiences.
Experience collaborating with external vendors and internal cross functional teams to design and deliver high‑quality learning programs.
Strong data literacy with the ability to evaluate learning metrics, interpret performance trends, and analyze indicators of business impact.
Ability to communicate insights clearly to senior leaders to inform decision‑making.
Proven ability to influence across functions and levels in a matrixed global organization and drive outcomes/decisions.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast‑changing, ambiguous environment, adapting learning plans and priorities as business needs, market dynamics, and organizational strategies evolve.
A/BS in Adult Learning, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
Preferred:
Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business, HR).
Sales experience preferred, ideally in a commercial, field, or sales‑enablement‑related capacity.
