SUMMARY
Under the AGM of Operations supervision, The Sr Manager, Client Utilities will direct and oversee the performance of the Client Utilities department, to include the sales and delivery of electrical, exhibit hall rigging, plumbing and compressed air services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staff and Resource Management
- Daily management of electrical, rigging, plumbing and compressed air service and delivery group to include work planning, staffing level evaluation, material usage.
- Directs the departments managers to provide outstanding customer service and achieve the most efficient operation possible.
- Works with the PHLCVB sales team and ASM Global events teams to assure incoming events have the proper information necessary regarding the services the department offers to properly plan their event.
- Works with the Sr. Management team to create new revenue opportunities and control operating expenses.
- Assists the Director of Production, when necessary, in the matters related to the ordering of services provided by the client utilities department.
- Works directly with show managers to assess their needs and assure service delivery is provided in a timely and efficient manner.
- Creates new and innovative ideas for show management to best utilize services and equipment the department sources to provide the best possible experience for show management and attendees.
- Interacts with internal and external clients on all levels to help resolve departmental related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
- Assures that the department is keeping abreast of changes in technology and incorporates new and evolving technology into the departments work to provide a more efficient operation.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchases for the department.
- Creates departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Assist the Authority in creation of their annual and 5-year capital budget.
- Assist in coordination of capital project implementation and construction projects to assure minimal interference with event operation.
- Manages departmental expenses.
- Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
- Coordinate with management team to ensure all goals are met for each event.
- Effectively communicates relevant departmental-related information to superiors.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- All other duties as assigned in an efficient & accurate manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Client Utilities managers and foreman.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience with the below technical competencies:
- College degree preferred in a related field, 8-10 years of direct experience in duties will be considered in lieu of the degree.
- Must have previous experience with live, sporting and concert and or convention production.
- Must have previous experience managing technical staff.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of event booking and scheduling software, spreadsheet software and word processing software and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
