Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Logistics Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to support our DoD client with Logistics planning and operations which include working with the project team to coordinate shipping equipment with freight forwarders to pick up, ship, and deliver equipment for overseas training events.
What You'll Be Doing:
Work with Logistics Manager to pull equipment from the warehouse for shipment overseas to support each training event.
Develops shipping schedules.
Forecast shipping lead times.
Coordinating pickup of equipment from warehouse, customs clearance and delivery for overseas training events with Freight Forwarder subcontractors.
Coordinating freight forwarders to pick up equipment and return ship it to the warehouse after a shipping event.
Supports annual inventory of the warehouse for property reporting (compiles report)
Support Property Management functions such as preparing Lost, Damaged, Destroyed Documents for equipment.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors Arts or Bachelors Science Degree
Secret Clearance or ability to receive clearance
5+ years of related professional experience in warehouse management and logistics.
Experience with government property management processes and procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge of Logistics and freight forwarding processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory control
Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for warehouse operations.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of freight forwarders and warehouse personnel.
Strong interpersonal skills to work with field personnel in a tactful and effective manner.
Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Strong attention to detail.
