About The Opportunity
The Floor Lead (aka Sr. Lead) will have responsibility to ensure an acceptable finished product for our customer.Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
Back up to Production Supervisor
Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results
Inspection of the production lines as needed if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
Knowledge of the rates of the jobs running on the production line
Responsible for work packets being filled out both correctly and accurately
Responsible for training production staff
Perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
Conducts and documents quality inspections to meet required customer, company, or industry specifications.
Print / Coordinate case labels and squid messages for the production lines.
Manage and appropriately classify reclaim, scrap and damaged product or materials.
Maintain a safe work environment
Education & Experience
Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 1 year of related experience or training in warehouse production
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to lead / supervise large groups of associates
Understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required
Good communicator, team player and multi-tasking skills
Plan in advance for production in your area
Interpret instructions both oral and written
Produce at a high level through your staff
Work with plant management for required results
Process information and merchandise through computer system
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift
Frequent lifting of 25 lbs or more
