About the Role: 

The Team: 

The S&P Global Commodity Insights team is part of the APMO organization and works closely with Product, Development, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver and enhance data-driven products. The Product Owner plays a central role in capturing and translating stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable documentation that supports system design and development. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to define user journeys, process maps, and personas, while also owning and maintaining the product backlog. The position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who can quickly integrate with the team and drive work forward from day one. 

 
Responsibilities and Impact: 

  • Review existing documentation to understand the basic standards required for the new product 

  • Identify stakeholders who will be impacted by the new product 

  • Interview stakeholders or their proxies to determine their requirements 

  • Generate personas, process flows, user journeys and story maps

  • Generate Lean Business Case documentation, and Epics / Features / User Stories in ADO 

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) 

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of strong working experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner 

  • Experience with Agile or SAFe Agile development framework and processes 

  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for digging into the details to define user stories, capabilities, and impacts and coordinate delivery through the Agile way of working 

  • Ability to clearly define and articulate processes and requirements 

  • Ability to understand technical product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutions 

  • Knowledge of Visio, Miro, and Azure DevOps  

  • A background of working on technical software and data-oriented products.  

  • A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
