A Day in the Life:
In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver software application solutions that support business objectives.
This position is based at our office in Regina, Saskatchewan.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Own technical delivery across all stages of the software development lifecycle. Lead and execute software construction activities for large or complex projects, ensuring adherence to development and security standards.
Select, adopt, and tailor appropriate software design methods, tools, and techniques.
Specify and design large or complex software components. Lead impact analyses on major design decisions, make recommendations, assess risks, and ensure design quality. Evaluate system designs to confirm alignment with standards and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Oversee planning and execution of system and acceptance testing, including security testing. Ensure testing integrity and coordinate all related activities.
Manage client relationships related to testing. Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to corporate testing standards and best practices.
Lead solution architecture development within a specific functional area, ensuring appropriate tools and methods are understood and applied.
Contribute to system capability strategy development to meet business objectives. Build models and plans to guide execution and identify opportunities to enhance business performance.
Develop implementation plans for complex application changes. Evaluate risks related to availability, performance, security, and compliance.
Lead assessment, design, planning, and delivery of release packages for large or complex software components. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders on scheduling and communication. Conduct post‑release reviews and ensure adherence to release processes, including rollback preparedness.
Provide expertise to Specialists to support configuration of software and system components for testing. Define complex or new integration builds and collaborate with technical teams to develop system integration plans and report progress.
Maintain application support processes and ensure all support requests are handled per established procedures.
Create and communicate professional architecture documents, models, software design standards, best practices, and guidelines.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
Minimum seven (7) years of related business and/or systems experience.
Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Strong knowledge of information systems, application programming, database concepts, and system design.
Deep understanding of business issues and data challenges.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated systems‑based approach to problem solving.
Ability to use knowledge of Bunge’s business, structure, and strategy to develop innovative, results‑driven solutions.
Ability to build partnerships, influence effectively, foster talent, and coach others for current and future roles.
