Sr. Human Resources Manager

Provides Human Resources support and leadership to the corporate offices and manufacturing facilities. Manages direct reports, the budget and provides advice and guidance to field managers as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages projects and project teams by designing HR processes, policies and procedures, analyzing company needs, ensuring projects stay on track, leading team members, determining timelines and critical areas, analyzing project data and implementing project deliverables.
  • Oversees multiple manufacturing facilities and partners with site HR leaders to ensure proactive positive employee relations are occurring, ensuring all corporate initiatives are rolled out and successfully implemented.
  • Oversees recruitment function and duties of recruitment team by reviewing needs, skills and qualification of salaried and professional candidates, training supervisors and department heads how to interview candidates, conducting follow-ups, ensuring all documentation is completed, discussing candidate qualifications with managers and ensuring the orientation process is conducted effectively.
  • Develops and manages direct reports by conducting performance appraisals, conducting staff development activities and directing and counseling staff on various HR related issues.
  • Reviews and implements effective company communications by designing programs to promote positive employee relations, designing and conducting employee training and development, managing the negotiations preparation process, overseeing labor/employee relations activities and ensuring compliance wit company policies.
  • Administers the compensation program by ensuring quality performance appraisals are completed, communicating with department heads regarding annual increase recommendations and ensuring salary structures are updated annually.
  • Provides benefits administration and design by ensuring that staff understands and is responsive to employee benefit inquiries and assisting staff and supervisor in various benefit plan design issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

  • Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Experience:

  • Over seven years of experience in a HR capacity.
  • Strong experience with HRIS systems, WD preferred.
  • Strong project management experience preferred.
  • Strong preference for prior oversight/management of manufacturing facilities and or equivalent experience in a Corporate setting with prior manufacturing experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be computer literate and have general office skills.
  • Should be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to multi-task with good organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance through the assistance of other supervisors or administrators, including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise.
  • Work environment involves light exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
  • Light physical effort required, such as standing, sitting, and walking in and around the office; reaching, climbing, and kneeling as needed; utilizing fine dexterity, the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
  • Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther, will be provided.

$95,938.00 - $178,010.00

Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
