A Senior Human Resources Analyst job is available with The City of Fort Worth Human Resources Department – Information Systems (HRIS) Division. The HRIS Division serves a diverse workforce of over 7500 employees and provides technical/functional support on a variety of HR programs, which include but are not limited to administrative oversight of all hiring, re-hiring, promotions, demotions, job data changes, employee personal data changes, and monitoring compliance aspects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources management, public administration, business administration or related field
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional human resources experience
  • Valid Driver’s License

 Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, especially Time & Labor and Absence Management Module
  • Experience with supporting Payroll processes, especially Time and Absence entry
  • Experience in troubleshooting payroll (Timesheet and Absence) issues
  • Experience working on payroll corrections
  • Experience in providing training to timekeepers and similar audiences

The Sr. Human Resources Analyst job responsibilities include:

  • Interpret human resources policies and procedures; and respond to requests for information and assistance from employees, management, outside agencies and the public
  • Lead payroll processing for the city in collaboration with other departments, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees. Responsibilities include overseeing payroll cycles, validating data integrity, resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance with city policies and regulatory requirements, and partnering with departments to address payroll-related issues
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues, document them and interact with IT team to get resolutions implemented in the system
  • Prepare a variety of reports using PeopleSoft Query tool, database SQL tool and/or Excel worksheets
  • Coordinate training needs for division/department to include creating and updating training material and conducting training sessions on applicable divisional and City processes
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing while exhibiting organizational and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to change and work well with others
  • Perform other related duties as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
