Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Join Manulife as a Sr. Full Stack Engineer and play a key role in crafting the future of our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team!

This is a unique opportunity to maximise your expertise in React and Node.js to design and develop innovative solutions that enhance our digital experiences and contribute to our mission of making decisions easier and lives better. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications that meet the needs of our users and support our global financial services initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve business applications across the full stack with focus on CIAM.

  • Create end-user interfaces, databases, APIs, and server-side logic while maintaining both front- and back-end components.

  • Apply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and ensure high-quality code delivery.

  • Implement design patterns, automation, and semantic versioning to enhance software quality.

  • Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis to ensure applications meet or exceed standards and user requirements.


Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in software development.

  • Experience in building authentication, authorization solutions.

  • Experience building applications with high volume of transactions.

  • Demonstrated ability with React and Node.js.

  • Proficiency in other programming languages such as Java, .NET.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Solid base in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

  • Experience working with IAM products such as IBM Verify, Okta, Auth0 or ForgeRock.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​Experience in developing cloud-based applications.

  • Experience with application security practices.

  • Understanding of CI/CD methods and DevSecOps or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with data modeling and analysis.

  • Proficiency in using testing frameworks and tools.

Salary range is expected to be between

$104,860.00 USD - $194,740.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
