Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our Austin, TX office and requires in-office presence three days a week.

Position Summary:

Trend Micro is seeking highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing our security solutions for customers. You will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure seamless integration and support of our products. This position requires periodic travel, primarily within North America.

Responsibilities:

• Deeply understand customer environments and specific issues to deliver customized security solutions.

• Perform on-site code modifications at customer sites, beyond mere configuration adjustments.

• Leverage all available Trend Micro technologies to flexibly package and combine for maximum performance.

• Rapidly provide diverse solutions tailored to varying customer needs and challenges.

• Collaborate with product and development teams to continuously optimize deployment processes.

• Stay ahead of the latest cybersecurity trends to ensure cutting-edge and effective solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience

• Frontend development experience, familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (e.g., React)

• Backend development experience, proficient in at least one language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, or Java)

• Basic knowledge of SQL and data modeling

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Basic understanding of network security

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
