Sr Financial Systems Analyst

About this role:

The primary objectives of the Senior Financial Systems Analyst are to support globally based users of various financial applications as well as maintain these financial applications and extend their functionality to support the ever-changing business needs of the finance organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the timely execution of monthly, quarterly & yearly accounting close activities

  • Support day-to-day operations for financial applications, resolving user/application issues with urgency and customer-first mindset

  • Effective use of creative, analytical skills to identify, address, trouble-shoot and resolve data/system with the guidance of management.

  • Report and clearly explain to IT any issues that cannot be resolved by the financial systems team.

  • Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Develop dashboards related to the financial close processes and finance business units

  • Understand the business needs and develop necessary reports to support day-to-day operations

  • Write, optimize and maintain SQL queries of financial data from ERP and other source systems

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 3-4 years financial systems, accounting, information technology or related fields

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Management Information Systems preferred

  • Experience in any role that required(s) working between a business unit and IT and facilitating communications.

  • Tremendous passion and interest in technology that translates into high business acumen.

  • Highly organized with great time management skills; Able to effectively reprioritize to support the business; Act with a sense of urgency.

  • Strong customer service mindset and talent for anticipating customer needs.

  • Experience in any role that required(s) working between the business unit and IT while facilitating communications & projects between the two groups.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams & drive results.

  • Ability to design & build processes utilizing technology to solve business problems

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, highly preferred

  • Proficient in PowerBI

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Ability to learn new tools quickly.
