Job Overview:

LPL’s Financial Planning Group is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Assistant Vice President to proactively drive the adoption of financial planning through comprehensive consultations with LPL‑affiliated financial institutions (banks and credit unions), delivered both over the telephone and in person. This position may be fully remote or based in one of LPL’s home offices.

This individual will be part of a planning consultant team within the Financial Planning Group and will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and actionable guidance to institution‑based Program Managers and affiliated LPL Financial Advisors across all areas of financial planning. Areas of focus include adoption and utilization of planning software, establishing an efficient and consistent planning process, ongoing advisor training, and leveraging data for accountability and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Program Managers of LPL‑affiliated financial institutions on all aspects of financial planning to increase adoption among their advisor populations.
  • Provide practical guidance to existing financial planners within LPL‑partnered institutions through consulting engagements that drive business efficiencies, growth, and increased plan penetration within advisors’ books of business.
  • Execute a disciplined outreach strategy using a sales‑funnel approach with clear, actionable next steps to increase financial planning awareness, adoption, and plan penetration.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of comprehensive financial planning and the pillars of support provided by LPL’s Financial Planning Group to drive advisor referrals to LPLs services offerings.
  • Provide institution and advisor onboarding support in partnership with LPL Financials’ internal business partners; demonstrate professionalism and preparedness during advisor engagements, including home‑office visits; and ensure timely follow‑up on requests from institutions, advisors, and internal partners.
  • Partner with marketing and design teams to create customized templates and resources for institutional programs to support the financial planning process.
  • Create and deliver educational presentations to large groups of advisors (virtually and in-person) on timely topics that influence financial planning activities and outcomes across the firm.
  • Collaborate and influence key business partners across the wealth management organization to drive alignment and success.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in personal financial counseling within professional services and/or a financial planning environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a related sales or consulting function
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning software; experience with eMoney, Right Capital, and/or MoneyGuide Pro software
  • Bachelor’s degree and CFP® Certification
  • Willingness to travel 3 times per quarter

Pay Range:

$76,323.00 - $127,205.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
