About this role:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a business partner in this exciting, world class organization and support Gartner's continued growth and success. This position will perform a key role in providing financial business analysis, decision support and thought leadership. This includes driving analytics that support financial budgeting/forecasting, generating internal management reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes. What you’ll do:
Business Partnering: Collaborate with executive and their leadership teams to understand cost drivers and align financial plans with operational goals via superior analytics.
Data Insights: Leverage financial and operational data and identify trends, risks opportunities to streamline data, automate data extraction develop new metrics. Summarize complex technical information into simplified and actionable insights for senior management.
Reporting & Analytics: Utilize an advanced understanding of multiple data structures, sources, and tools to guide business partners in the development of Power BI reports, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, or data collection.
Financial Modelling: Use predictive/prescriptive modelling to support business planning, investments, pricing, and scenario analysis for the business and inject the most applicable technology, including Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, and Statistical Modeling where required.
Tools & Process Improvement: Support implementation and continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Databricks, Power BI). Analyze unstructured text data to find insights and patterns, using advanced data science techniques to derive key insights that are top priorities and automate the process by partnering with business stakeholders like, BU leaders, product leaders, sales leaders, marketing leaders, IT etc.
Collaborate: Engage in cross-team collaboration with multiple business units, and with individuals with varying levels of analytical experience within those business units.
Interview with internal business clients to obtain new analytic requirements and communicate required data model enhancements to IT
Ensure proper BI standards, policies and procedures are followed in the design, development, and testing phases.
Engage in ad-hoc analyses and other special projects to understand business performance
Deliver all assignment work within quality standards and on time, often within tight deadlines.
What you’ll need:
8+ experience with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer science, Engineering, Analytics or Statistics or similar area required.
6+ years of experience with a master’s degree in finance, Analytics, Business administration, Economics, or related areas preferred.
Industry knowledge of BI landscape and latest emerging tools supporting descriptive to perspective analytics
Hands-on experience with designing and developing dashboards using self-service analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
Proficiency with DAX, Power Query(M).
Expertise in at least one of the following statistical analysis programs: Python/SQL.
Superior financial modeling and data analysis skills using Microsoft. Working knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise/Planning or other OLAP tools is a plus (Oracle/Essbase).
Superior communication skills, effective communication, presentation and influencing skills in a matrixed organization.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
Ability to extrapolate linkages between large amounts of financial and operational data, generate insights, and distill complex concepts into actionable information
Able to work independently and within a team structure to consistently deliver flawless work solutions within aggressive (and changing) time constraints
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects at the same time
