Position Overview

Autodesk is hiring a Senior Finance Business Partner, Industry Strategy to support our global Marketing and GTM organizations with deep financial insight across key industries (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction; Manufacturing; Media & Entertainment). This role connects the full customer journey—from early funnel engagement through transaction—by analyzing how industry-specific content, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies influence pipeline, conversion, and revenue.

You will partner closely with Industry Marketing, Content & Creative, Digital Marketing, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and Sales Finance to evaluate effectiveness and ROI across both SMB digital programs and Enterprise ABM motions. Your work will help Autodesk better understand how marketing investments perform by industry, optimize content creation processes, and inform resource allocation decisions that accelerate growth.

This role is ideal for someone who loves connecting qualitative content strategy with quantitative performance outcomes and can translate complex, multi-source data into clear recommendations.

This position will report to the Senior Director, Marketing Finance, and it will be 100% remote in Canada.

Responsibilities

Industry Strategy Financial Partnership

  • Serve as the primary Finance partner to Industry Strategy Marketing team, providing financial insights across key verticals

  • Partner with business leaders to understand industry dynamics, customer behavior, and opportunities for growth across SMB and Enterprise segments

  • Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting for industry-specific marketing investments

Content Creation Economics & Process Evaluation

  • Assess the end-to-end cost, resourcing, and efficiency of Autodesk’s content creation processes across industries (e.g., video, thought leadership, product demos, technical documentation)

  • Evaluate how content performs across early funnel touchpoints—reach, engagement, time-in-product, influence on pipeline—and identify ROI variation by industry

  • Build frameworks that connect content investment to downstream funnel progression and revenue impacts

Pipeline & Performance Analytics

  • Analyze industry-based funnel performance, including awareness, consideration, trial, pipeline creation, progression, win rates, and deal size

  • Evaluate return on investment for digital SMB programs (e.g., paid media, self-serve web experiences) and ABM programs (e.g., 1:1 campaigns, industry events, solution workshops)

  • Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to develop dashboards and models that quantify performance from early funnel through transaction

Decision Support & Strategic Insight

  • Translate complex industry data, marketing signals, and financial metrics into clear narratives for Marketing and GTM leaders

  • Provide recommendations on investment trade-offs, industry prioritization, content strategies, and channel mix

  • Support quarterly business reviews with insights on performance vs. plan, risks/opportunities, and strategic levers

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Marketing Finance, GTM Finance, Consulting, or a similar analytical role

  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to stitch together insights across disparate datasets (e.g., web, campaign, product usage, pipeline, bookings)

  • Experience partnering with marketing or GTM organizations; understanding of digital marketing and ABM is a plus

  • Strong communicator capable of building business narratives that resonate with non-finance stakeholders

  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel/Sheets, Anaplan, Sigma, Tableau/Power BI; experience with Snowflake or web analytics tools preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • You’re a strategic thinker with strong business acumen

  • You have a strong command of “the details,” but don’t get lost in them

  • You are a proven executor with prior success driving projects with cross-functional teams

  • You are a poised communicator with prior experience advising senior leaders

  • You thrive in a team environment and practice confidence without attitude or ego

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
