As a Senior Field Service Engineer at Spectra-Physics, you will partner with Field Service to support for Japanese Scientific customers.
Spectra-physics Japan is seeking Sr Field Service Engineer that can manage highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of high energy and ultra short pulse laser. Manage installation and repair of MKS broad range of instruments and technologies focusing on ultra short pulse and ultra-narrow linewidth laser for key accounts in Japan. This position is to be based in Tokyo Japan, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Field Service Japan.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, servicing and repair of our laser product.
Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
Serves as company liaison with customer on technical matters for assigned projects
Makes reports after on-site work for the charge of cost and further maintenance plan.
Travel Requirements: Up to 80 % of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
Japanese Driver's license is required.
Required to have a deep knowledge of the product in charge but also the ability to build good relationships with customers in order to get satisfaction from customers.
Required the ability to communicate with the factory in order to solve troubles efficiently.

Bachelor's in science or engineering at minimum.
To have customer support experiences in the same industry.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree or higher is preferred.
To have work experience in university or research center that use our laser product. Or graduates of that laboratory.
To have good command of written and spoken English language.
