About This Job
SR. EVENT SPECIALIST – ENTERPRISE MARKETING (Temporary)
The Axos Marketing team seeks an experienced Sr. Event Marketing Specialist for a temporary contract engagement to support the Sponsorship and Conference Services team. This role is designed to provide seamless continuity of operations during a planned team leave, ensuring no disruption to event execution, stakeholder relationships, or marketing deliverables.
The Sr. Event Marketing Specialist will work alongside senior leadership and marketing partners to drive priorities and presence across Axos' event and sponsorship portfolio — maintaining the highest brand standards at every touchpoint. The event portfolio spans high-touch client entertainment, executive seminars and roundtables, industry tradeshows, and key sponsorships. This individual must be able to integrate quickly, operate independently, and hit the ground running from day one.
This role supports marketing execution across multiple Axos business lines — the Consumer Bank, the Commercial Bank, and the Securities business — and is responsible for ensuring all campaigns and event programming are delivered on time, on brand, and at expected quality.
Please note this is a temporary position and expected to close in January 2027 .
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end event logistics including venue sourcing, contracting, décor, materials, branding, and AV for both in-person and virtual formats
- Manage pre- and post-event touchpoints to ensure all events function as multi-touch, multi-channel campaigns
- Manage tradeshow and promotional item inventory and distribution
- Oversee campaign, event, and project management, including fulfilling requests from business partners
- Manage the corporate event calendar and all related internal communications
- Navigate multi-event calendars and seasonal peaks with comfort in rapid pivots and contingency planning
- Support strategic planning for quarterly and annual events portfolio, including content and program development
- Analyze market trends and client insights to inform event and marketing strategies
- Identify and recommend process improvements to elevate marketing quality and operational efficiency
- Own budget responsibilities including forecasting, PO management, vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and post-event reconciliation
- Develop and manage relationships with external partners and vendors
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and marketing partners to ensure all efforts align with overarching business strategy
- Coordinate content, messaging, design, and tracking across paid media, email, print, direct mail, broadcast, website, social, SEO, and other channels in partnership with internal teams and external vendors
- Review deliverables generated by the Marketing shared services group — including content, design, and creative assets — to ensure brand alignment, audience accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Copywriting and editing for event-related communications and marketing materials
- Develop and execute social media content tied to event programming
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of events and related campaigns
- Track and communicate performance metrics to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct special projects and provide additional business or marketing support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of experience in corporate events and/or tradeshows, with demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-visibility programs
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent workstreams under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively engage and present to senior business executives
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail; ability to prioritize and perform under pressure
- Demonstrated self-starter mentality — able to onboard quickly and operate with minimal ramp-up time given the temporary nature of this role
- Experience with CRM, EMS, and marketing automation platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cvent, Bizzabo, and Interaction Studio
- Experience developing and executing social media content in support of events and campaigns
- Experience with budget ownership: forecasting, PO management, vendor negotiation, and reconciliation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, with flexibility during peak seasons
