Hourly base pay rate is $29.09 - $43.61/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

The Auto Body Shop Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, and ensuring a smooth repair process from start to finish. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality repairs within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates for wholesale and retail customers.

  • Obtain competitive quotes for parts and materials required for repairs.

  • Blueprint the repair process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Monitor and follow the vehicle throughout the entire repair cycle.

  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding repair status.

  • Verify all billing and documentation prior to processing.

  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.

  • Coordinate with sublet vendors to maintain cycle time and quality expectations.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED and 5 years of related experience as an auto body estimator; or any level of degree or certification beyond HS deploma or GED and 3 years of related.

  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Audatex).

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to inspect vehicles and work in a shop environment.

  • May require standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
