Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Job Summary

Reporting to the Plant EHS Manager, you will work closely with the Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) team and plant leadership to promote a culture that integrates EHS&S into daily operations. You will drive plant KPIs through cultural evolution and manage projects from concept to implementation, collaborating with Supply Chain, RQ&I, Engineering, and other functional areas. You will develop detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports while leading initiatives that enhance safety and environmental compliance.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement EHS programs and processes.
  • Manage project planning and execution to ensure timely implementation of initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard safety programs.
  • Serve as Sr. EHS Coordinator for the Russellville location, including scheduling assessments, distributing reports, and tracking findings to completion.
  • Lead and maintain the EHS Champion Program, including annual severe weather and fire evacuation training.
  • Develop and deliver safety and environmental training content.
  • Create and publish key metrics and reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business or an EHS&S-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience organizing, planning, and executing EHS programs.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering presentations for senior management and external clients.
  • High degree of organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Compensation: 

Annual Base Salary: $81,000.00 - $110,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
